Principal Investigator
Dr. Garcia Peraza Herrera [ ] [ ]
Dr. Herrera is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Computer Vision at King’s College London since May 2023. He has co-authored more than 25 papers, holds a US Patent, and has received an EPSRC IAA Award. Before assuming his current position, Dr. Garcia Peraza Herrera served as a Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence at King’s College London. From 2018 to 2019, he held a Research Scientist position at Siemens Healthineers in Princeton, USA. He pursued his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at University College London (UCL) from 2015 to 2020, with a specific research focus on image segmentation for robotic surgery. His academic foundation is built upon degrees from University College London (MRes in Medical and Biomedical Imaging), Imperial College London (MRes in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Interventions) and University of La Laguna (BSc & MSc in Computer Science).
PhD Students
Mr. Che embarked on his doctoral journey in October 2023. Prior to his PhD pursuits, Mr. Che served as a Computer Vision Engineer in China’s State Key Laboratory, and as a Software Developer at Accenture. He holds an MSc in Image and Video Communication and Signal Processing from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Electronic Information Science and Technology from the Dalian Maritime University in China.
Mr. Manchev is an experienced Data Science professional who currently leads the EMEA Data Science team at Domino Data Lab. He holds an MSc in Software Technologies, an MSc in Data Science, and is currently working towards finishing his PhD. His area of expertise is Statistics, Mathematics, and Data Science in general, and his research interests are in Neural Networks with emphasis on biological plausibility. He is a recipient of several technical mastery awards like the Oracle ACE Award and the IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award.
Mr. Wang began his PhD journey at King’s College London in October 2024. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he completed an MRes in Bioimaging Materials from South China University of Technology in 2021. He also holds an MSc in Scientific Computing and Data Analysis from the University of Durham, which he obtained in 2023. Before starting his doctoral research, Mr. Wang worked as a Machine Learning Engineer from 2023 to 2024. His current PhD research focuses on video generation.
